Default New Black Desert Monster Screens, and Combat Footage

Daum's teaser website for Pearl Abyss's upcoming MMO Black Desert has just been updated to now include "Theme 2" called "Monsters". There are a dozen or so brand-new screen shots. And a few old ones that we've seen. I'm asking/waiting on Pearl Abyss to upload the HD versions of the video and screen shots into their media kit. Until then, you can view the low-fi screen shots and video below. Please Enjoy!




I'll be uploading these to our Black Desert Gallery Section soon (Off to bed though, 3:35AM here). And here is the brand new video.


There is another "Theme Update" set for August 9th. No word on what it's going to be about yet. But fans we can rejoice because things are moving real quick now, compared to the last eight months of quietness.

Looks like they fixed the blood spatting effect. Looks a bit better than before. That's good to see.

Video is so shaky as heck though.

Edit. Did they ever say how large parties will be? Anyone remember?

Combat sure looks tedious. I'm not impressed like half you guys are.

I'm also concerned about the way combat looks and hope they don't go down the GW2 route. I know it's still early but this game has promise so I hope they take the feed-back and work on it.

This game's combat looks more vindictus/console oriented where dodging and timing attacks matters (The enemies want to live too, so they fight back). GW2 didn't have any of this.

Interesting that this is coming from an in house engine. I am so afraid that this is going to buggy as hell. I hope the new game testers will do good job.

Interesting sig you got there Slime. LOL.

Vinter, I think you are right. I already seen some glitches in some of the trailers. It's not 100% smooth. Like if you want the 2nd trailer, where they are having that castle siege. Some of the NPC's are just standing there stucked in each other. I'm hoping they fix this.

Archer needs a bigger bow -_-
Also throw in some fierce arrows.

Just saying... I don't like archers with little bows

That looked like a short bow which is about right, if they also have long bow then if it pulls and looks like that did then I feel the archer class will be very happy bunny.

The more I watch videos on the combat the more it grows on me so keep it coming. As for the art that looks very impressive indeed and I love the work on the different types of mobs and variants. That is the one thing which sets this game from many others it looks very impressive and lets hope it plays as good as it is looking.
